Review on Game console Sony PlayStation 5 825GB SSD RU, white by Hwang Sunshin ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing I've ever used, I recommend it to everyone!

± After PS4, it's hard to get used to the fact that they changed the logic of the PS buttons and the screenshot. Previously, one press on the PS would return to the main screen, a long hold would open the menu on top of the game. Now vice versa, pressing opens the menu, holding returns to the screen. At the same time, you cannot return to the game with another hold from the main screen, you need to look for its shortcut among others and click on it. There is no indication that the game is running on the shortcut of the running game on the main screen (as it was on the PS4). If you accidentally launch another game at this time, then the confirmation window does not come out (as it was on PS4, there the console clarified whether you really want to close one application and launch another). That is, I missed the shortcut - and that's it, one game instantly closes completely without saving and another one starts. It's the same with a screenshot, now it's physically impossible to quickly take a screen by quickly pressing the Share button, because pressing the button brings up a menu in which you already need to select the screenshot icon and confirm it. RAVE! Previously, it was possible to set up: one click on Share - a screenshot, double click - start recording a video, now there is none of this, why? Bottom line: a cool console for your money (I mean the recommended retail price).

Pros
  • I am writing a review from a real user who switched from PS4, mentioning things that no reviewer on the Internet has said. + The console is very beautiful; + In reality, it does not look as gigantic at all as in the photo. Slightly larger than PS4, next to a 43" TV it does not seem bulky, it sits quietly on a cabinet 30 cm deep; + Games, both new and for PS4, work great; + It has become quieter, but in difficult scenes it still makes noise, although not as loud as its predecessor; + You can stream on Twitch and YouTube at 1080p60fps, finally. The streaming interface is also an order of magnitude more convenient than it was on PS4; + Time spent in games appeared in the profile! How many years have I been waiting for this! And in all, even in games with PS4, which I did not launch for 2-3 years. I was very surprised at how much I played some of them. Although in some games the time is incorrect, for example, in my Horizon Zero Dawn it shows 4 hours (although I passed it and knocked out a platinum trophy).
Cons
  • - The glossy part of the body is terribly smudged and covered with dust; - Complete HDMI and cable for charging the gamepad are unforgivably short; - I'll write more in a separate review on DualSense, but. the gamepad is bulky and very heavy. It is larger and heavier than the Xbox One controller. I don't know if it's the actual weight or how it's distributed around the body of the controller, but it feels really heavier. Similar in weight to the assembled Nintendo Switch; - The backlight of the gamepad is located on the front panel and is simply impossible bright (even if you set the brightness to a minimum in the settings) - it personally hits me in the eyes, I used to like to lie on the bed on my stomach and hold the gamepad in front of me with outstretched arms, now it's simply impossible; - Cons on the firmware. I hope they will be corrected in the future. There is no library search. The search icon on the main screen searches the entire store, there is no search in the library menu, I have a couple of hundred games in it and the only way to find something is to sort alphabetically and wind it. - The trophy interface has become simply disgusting. This must be seen for yourself. It is impossible to use. Now everyone who cares about getting platinum has to track them only through third-party sites. - PS4 games come in several versions, it's not clear why. For example, I inserted my old NieR: Automata disc into the console, and it offered me to download two different versions of the patch, the difference in them is one gigabyte. I downloaded the one that weighed less, the game works fine. With PS4 games bought digitally, this is also such garbage, for some there were two versions, and they do not say how they differ. At the same time, there is a bug that if one version started to download and the console was turned off, when it is turned on, not the same download automatically continues, but another version starts downloading, and two identical games appear on the main screen.
