Review on πŸ§— SCARPA Women's Origin Rock Climbing Shoes - Low-Volume, Women's Specific Fit for Gym and Sport Climbing by Kyle Awasthi

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Bad rubber but maybe suitable for new boulderers with wide heels.

I went up a size when ordering these shoes which resulted in a poor fit and it's my fault not Scarpa's. I gave this shoe three stars because the rubber sucks, the toe and heel mold sucks, and the internal heel fit is too wide for me. I wear a 6.5 (women) in regular shoes and ordered a 38.5 in these which would be about a 7.5 or 8 in US sizes. I wanted a comfortable shoe that I could wear all day bouldering in the gym and on the street can bear. I am also very concerned about my feet and wanted to enlarge them to avoid the acute and chronic problems associated with wearing oddly shaped, tiny, tight shoes. If I were to buy them again I would probably buy a 38 or 37.5. If you are a total beginner these are good shoes if you can find them on sale. If you climb something bumpy or bumpy, this is not your shoe. In them I constantly pop and slide off the cliff. The heel has a lot of volume on the inside, so if you have narrow feet like me, you will fart in the shoe. However, they are very easy to put on and take off and look cool. It's entirely possible that all of the complaints I've listed here are 100% overrated, so I think I'll take this review with a pinch of salt.

Pros
  • passive edge | The passive frame prioritizes comfort over strength and is perfectly streamlined so you can wear these climbing shoes all day without feeling tired.
Cons
  • Almost never
