Review on ✈️ CRAZEDpilot CP-1ANR: Ultimate Active Noise Reduction Headset for Aircraft by Scott Channell

This ANR headset was tested on my C210 and works well. Very good value for money. I think there are multiple brands selling the same headset made in the same factory. I still have one that I bought under a different brand over a year ago. My only complaint is that there is no switch for the ANR function. It turns on when plugged in and the comms pad is on, and off when you turn it off. I suspect that sometimes this design won't turn off and drains the battery, but I can't prove it. Usually the battery works for tens of hours of flight. To save money, you can pay for a boatload of 9-volt batteries. UPDATE IN ONE YEAR+. If you buy this headset, do yourself a favor and cover the mono/stereo switch on the control box with a piece of black tape. so it can't be knocked out of the "Mono" setting. The switch is unlabeled, so your passengers will often flip it and think they're turning on their headset. Then they complain about a non-working earphone and you fiddle with connections, volume controls and then conclude that this piece of junk has already lost the earphone. Then, after a while, you realize that the passenger has changed the setting from "Mono" to "Stereo" and the sound is therefore only playing in one ear. This happens infrequently enough that between episodes you tend to forget what caused the problem.
