I was looking for a solution to tears on a paracord necklace. Although I ended up going the other way, they would work great too. The inner diameter barely allows for a 550 paracord. Tying a knot in the stems was a challenge, but since they fit snugly, melting the end of the cord provided a secure enough hold that I couldn't physically remove the cords. They engage with medium to high force and require a lot of force to disengage. Under the weight of the body or under strong pull, they will loosen, allowing them to grip anything that is on your chain or strap and break off before posing a strangulation or other hazard.
