Disappointed best in Sewing Tools & Supplies

They are really hard to take apart. I bought these to make necklaces for my minor league soccer team and I wanted the necklaces to be breakaway necklaces. If you pull hard enough to break it, the knot on the cord will just go through the hole. I wasn't able to make the knot big enough for the clasp to fall apart first.

Works as intended in buckles

Completely satisfies my needs. I got them upgrading some badge straps so they come loose for some family members. Good: Works as intended. It requires some effort but definitely doesn't cause any safety issues when the cord is pulled. Bad: Not bad to say the least, but some of the connectors were partially unfinished and needed a light sanding to get rid of the sharp edges/burrs along the seams. .

Pros
  • High score for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Something different

Excellent grip good for sewing supplies and accessories

They are perfect for a neck knife which is what I use them for. They offer enough strength to hold any line you use them on, but not too strong in case you get caught on something. Great clicking sounds when setting up or dismantling. If the hold is too strong for you, you can certainly sand them down a bit to get the fit/strength you want. For those of you also looking for Neck Knife Tear Latches this is a good choice - I am currently using it on Mora.

Exactly the force required to loosen the fasteners in an emergency.

I was looking for a solution to tears on a paracord necklace. Although I ended up going the other way, they would work great too. The inner diameter barely allows for a 550 paracord. Tying a knot in the stems was a challenge, but since they fit snugly, melting the end of the cord provided a secure enough hold that I couldn't physically remove the cords. They engage with medium to high force and require a lot of force to disengage. Under the weight of the body or under strong pull, they will…

POP Goes The Barrel

Very happy with this item. One of my fears was that the barrels would separate with a light draw, but that wasn't the case. I tore the paracord with moderate force as if it had been pulled from my throat and the stem came loose. Just pulling the cord didn't dislodge it, although I imagine if you pull on it with enough force to choke someone the barrel would dislodge. Ideal. When cycling I use paracord with a pop bar connected to a neck knife. It works perfectly. There are videos on YouTube on…

Amazing quality! Just what I needed for my lanyard

I bought the One Tigris badge holder which uses 550 paracord for the neck strap but ended up with an ugly knot with a lace clasp that was sticking out from behind my shirt. I found these pop kegs to work great in terms of both security (disconnects if the cord snags) and aesthetics (flows into/flows with my collared shirts). I was having a hard time figuring out how to "tie" the ends of a 550 paracord until I found a YouTube video where one person told me to melt the ends (like I usually do)…
