Doesn't start and smells funny.

I was glad to get this but the moment I opened it I knew there would be problems. Right off the bat I noticed abrasion and some corrosion on the top gold parts of the lighter. It is clear that this is not a new condition. Then I even tried charging it to see if it worked at all. But no luck. Even after switching on nothing. Nothing lit up to indicate it was charging and I thought it was liquid damaged. My fingers also smell a strange sour smell after touching this lighter. Everything about it is just bad. I don't know where the high ratings are coming from.
