If you're switching between two laptops that use an external display, this is a great solution. I use a 13" MacBook Pro for work and a 13" MacBook Air for personal use. Both are USB-C powered and pass a DisplayPort video signal to my external display over the same connection. The MacBook Pro fits well, but not too tight. The MacBook Air is a little thin, and even when the stand is adjusted to its smallest width, it has to tilt back and forth. I am not concerned about the safety or damage to a machine placed on this stand. If you have a thicker machine, the width of each slot can be adjusted independently. Bonus: the color matches (more or less) my two Space Gray devices.
