I use the cuisinart pressure cooker at least 2-3 times a week and often use the browning/frying function. After each use, I wash my hands with dish soap and hot water and let them air dry. My original is strong, thick, with a good Teflon content, and I'm very happy with it. Unfortunately my use of tongs to pull out the slippery chicken damaged the bottom. I ordered these in September 2020. I immediately noticed a difference in quality, the pot was much thinner and lighter, and it seemed to me that there wasn't much Teflon or non-stick material in it. My first use after washing with warm water and dish soap started with oiling the pot. I cooked bone-in chicken that was also coated in oil. Most of the chicken skin stuck to the bottom. Cleaning was incredibly difficult. In the photo that looks rusty, I bought it in September. The seller's response was not intended to help the buyer. Do not buy from this seller and do not purchase this item. Your best bet is to go straight to Cuisinart and get the real deal.
