These buttons work *technically*. The button threads easily through thick jeans and snaps into place at the back, and it holds up well even when the jeans buttonhole is pulled. However, I kind of didn't think about how huge the backs of these buttons are! see my attached photo - you can see that the existing back of the button is completely flat and flush with the jean and the back of these buttons protrudes a lot. To make matters worse, the edge of the back is a bit sharp. When I'm standing I don't notice it at all, but when I sat down I kept moving the button because the backrest was digging into my skin. You can see the mark it left - it was only after 5 minutes of wearing. If I try to wear this button all day, there will definitely be cuts and scabs on my stomach. In general, if you stand all the time while wearing pants/shorts/jeans with this button, you should be fine. But if you ever plan on sitting down, I don't recommend them. I need to find an option to replace the flat back button - and if that doesn't exist I'd rather pull my jeans up further than wear a button that causes skin damage. Best of all it was very easy to remove and didn't damage my jeans.
