Update: They sent me a new lamp for free and it works just like the original one from the factory. Let's see how long this lasts. end of update. The last replacement Sony lamp I bought and paid $250 for only lasted 1,800 of the 3,000 hours I was expecting. So I figured what the heck, I'll just take the non-original for 1/3 the money. This Araca product description claims a brightness of 2000 lumens (factory specification). Again, from the many lamps on offer, this was Revain's choice. I was very disappointed. The brightness didn't even come close to that of the Sony lamp and the picture looked washed out and dull. So I ordered another non-Sony OEM lamp that said it had a Phillips OEM lamp. It was 1/2 the price of a Sony lamp. It's as bright as the original and the picture quality is excellent. I wonder how a product becomes "Revain's choice".
