I'd like to suggest an easy way to do this without preheating the lid. Just stretch it out to fit the steering wheel as halfway as possible. Then leave it in that stretched position, hold it like that for 30 minutes, and come back. The material stretches a bit and you can just put the other half on the handlebars. As far as the product is concerned, I am basically satisfied, but there is a small gap on the lid, so that crumbs or dust can fall into the lid over time. Not enough to be really annoying, but enough to deduct a star. Overall it looks very good and I'm glad I bought it.
