It charges the battery at very low voltage.
Some people think this won't charge a dead battery but it will, but there is a trick that worked for me. First start the machine in a normal way (e.g. with another machine). Once the car starts, remove the connecting cables. Now connect the charger to the car battery and plug it in. Now the charger "seesโ the battery and starts charging. Now you can turn off the car and the charge will continue to charge. This worked for me.
