I have had this cable for 5 months and have used it in my F150 with a fast charge cigarette lighter socket. The end of the USB is MOLTEN. One day I got in my truck and I smelled something burning. Searched up and down in a panic, wondering what it could be, then saw the metal end had melted. I've used different cables like this in my car, all with the same fast charger I've had for 3 years, just with different lengths (must be several because kids and husband steal my cables). I've never had a single melt on me. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I'm just glad that thing didn't start a fire in my car!
