I bought this as a gift for my 13 year old friend Fergus MacHowl the Airedale, who has a lot of trouble with his hips. On those days when he's unsteady, I use it to help him get up and go outside. Usually he's stable after a few minutes and I can "unsling" him, especially when going down the porch steps.I'd say he likes it because he'll stop at the bottom of the steps when going back in and look at me, waiting for a re-slinging of his nether regions for a boost up the stairs. I'll give him the boost and then turn him loose again.
