Review on ๐Ÿช‘ Fold-A-Way Tapestry Footrest with Adjustable Design by Robert White

The problem with this product (adjustable tapestry footrest) is wood and hinges.

I bought this tapestry adjustable footrest so I can elevate my legs when driving without a chair. I have to elevate my legs due to a foot injury. The soft top is firm like a quality sofa cushion, not the soft cushion I liked. The design theory is good. I didn't care what the tapestry material was or the stain on the wood. I was looking for functionality, not fashion. I never mounted wheels, the height without wheels was a good height for my family's sofa and house. The problem with this product is wood and loops. The wood is very light and the hinges are very thin with tiny screws. The footrest collapsed when I moved the legs, on the 3rd or 4th time it collapsed, the dowels that connect the crossbar broke and tiny screws came out and the hinges were bent. If it were solid wood and had better hinges, it would be a great piece for car rides. I considered keeping it and restoring the bottom frame with oak 1x2 and better hinges, but decided to return it. I ended up buying a folding stepladder. Had it been built with a hardwood frame, stronger hinges and the ability to keep the crossbars from falling out of the slots it would have been a much better product.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion
