Spend your extra $20 on a pan, zoom and pan monitor! This is a fixed camera. Probably to keep a close eye on the baby sleeping in the crib. If you're being given this to keep track of your active toddler, don't do it. There are only 2 views. Enlarged or really enlarged! I have a normal living room. About 20 x 20. I see a corner of the room. The wide-angle lens provides a slightly better view. The camera is stationary and does not pan/pan. You have NO other view of the room than what the camera is pointing at and the view is very close! I have an active toddler and I can't see her whole room. I can't even get her whole bed without the extra wide angle lens. So I'm very disappointed with this monitor. Its my fault. I should have read the details. The picture is very grainy. I haven't used it at night yet. This rating is based on first use only.
