I'm in San Antonio and my tap water is between 220 and 275 ppm. I can get about 2 gallons of water at 22ppm after going through the filtration system. Everything after that reaches 120-125. It doesn't work for me. If you have water in my range, don't waste your money, you can take advantage of it. At this price point it would make more sense to buy an RO/DI system that stores water in an inlet that you can connect a hose to. spotless rinse if you have water in the 250ppm+ range, but I can tell it's a flow issue. If I slow the water down to a thin stream, I can get water with a concentration of about 5 parts per million. It's not designed for a car's built-in flushing system, but if you have a portable pressure washer (Sun Joe makes one with a five-gallon water tank) you could potentially use it to pump low-PPM water for use in it to manufacture.
