I previously gave this hub a 5 star rating but have since encountered issues reported by others. My iMac, 27 inch , late 2015, shut down unexpectedly and I was only able to restart it by unplugging the power cord for 5-10 seconds, then plugging it back in and pressing the restart button.I suspected my APS PSU first and replaced it.But the problem remained. My iMac would shut down in screen saver mode 2 or 3 times a day. I didn't experience any disconnections while actively working on the computer. I re-read all the reviews and found others who had this problem. After removing it this USB 3.0 hub the problem disappeared. Search Google for USB 3.0 related iMac unexplained shutdowns. I'm sorry d that happens because this hub looks good and is very handy for simple usb connections. I also tried this with extra power but same result. You may still find it useful if you can live with the disconnects. It may not affect your iMac, but this is my experience.
