The fan evenly distributes the air to all the filters and does so at a very acceptable noise level (much quieter than our Broan 420). Low is great for heat dissipation when using the stove or cooking, medium for multiple burners, and high when you screw it up real: it moves an incredible amount of air. Bright LEDs, almost fluorescent. If you have the space, I recommend adding a 3" spot or two per dimmer for extra backlighting and to illuminate your hob when it's idle. Installation is not difficult for one person, but there is one thing. - In the instructions they are for a 30 inch fan. Measure your fan and cut/mount accordingly. The tight fit means you don't need a second pair of hands to hold it in place to attach it to your convenient workspace.
