At first I didn't know if it would work, but it did. I installed it after watching a YouTube guide on how to replace the laser deck. For $20 I can play my PS3 games again. I wanted to buy a used PS3 but it was expensive ($60-$300). It saved me a lot of money and I can keep my well cared for PS3. My model is Czech-2501A. Never read. There were always errors or the game froze (because he couldn't read the game). The game will have installation problems. Strangely, my Blu-ray movies played fine; Only had problems with the games. Definitely recommend. I don't have much experience with electronics but I was able to get it working.
