I searched for a long time for the right bag and was even willing to spend a lot for it. I wanted these features: (1) at least one exterior side pocket for a water bottle or umbrella; (2) exterior pockets; (3) needs to fit my MacBook Pro; (4) different carrying options; and (5) not ugly. This backpack/purse is the only one I could find that fits all criteria. First, the material is soft and thick, and feels sturdy. Second, having two exterior side pockets for both a water bottle and a small umbrella is an extra bonus, for sure. The other exterior pockets are roomy and handy for quick access to things, and there is a "security" zippered pocket in the back that may be good for passports or sensitive papers. The interior has 2 zippered pockets and 3 open pockets. In in the main compartment, I can fit my MacBook Pro (and in its protective, padded sleeve), cord, my foldable keyboard, mouse, a notebook, and still have room for a little bit more. It is not too heavy and fits well both on my shoulder and as a backpack. And, the price makes it all worth it.
