Surprisingly helpful! I don't trust him with liquids or things I don't want to drop/spill.

. For the price and nothing quite like it in use, I decided to use it as a sort of "desk" when I need to take a call in the car - very handy if I have an appointment at noon and I'm on the phone before or after this meeting time. I have a 2007 Highlander and took a close look at the dimensions on the listing and compared them to my car - it fits and is fairly easy/quick to mount on my steering wheel. It's not always as stable as I'd like, perhaps due to its design for 'most' versus my car make and model, but I trust it for my laptop or notepad during a meeting. SUMMARY = VERY HANDY FOR A CHEAP "CAR OFFICE" OR A QUICK DINE WHEN TRAVELING! Can be trusted for things like a laptop or similar. Keep your hand on your product and its case when using it for riding as it is not entirely level and can move slightly under weight. DO NOT USE FOR DRINKS, rely on your cup holder or ask for a passenger seat or center console drinks tray. Especially when I compared that price to $100 "passenger seat solutions" that would need to be moved/removed. If I have a passenger (rarely) or a few groceries/shops (often), it's VERY appealing to be at the "If I'm writing this review, I can buy one for everyone I know who travels" level, practically LIKE= [1] Great price! [2] It is very small and easily placed either on the passenger seat or just behind the passenger seat for easy access. [3] Quick add to steering wheel. [4] I can fully open my laptop and type with both hands instead of trying to control the amount I can open the laptop compared to my steering wheel and also balancing the laptop itself. [5] One side is shaped for desktop or business use, including a pen slot, and the other side is shaped for food use, including a beverage base (like what you see on a vintage airplane tray). [6] Very easy to clean - I wipe it down with hand wipes after use. Can be hosed off or hand washed in the sink; is not dishwasher safe or soakable as it may be permeable and/or may not survive the "high temperature drying" cycle. WHAT I WANT TO IMPROVE = As I write the review above I'm thinking of how to increase my credibility of the tablet having it mounted/attached to my steering wheel - a 'hack' would probably be helpful, like a one or two However, mounting velcro straps on the handlebars on each side would require modification of the tray such as: I'll probably try a few things that don't require cutting the tray, like adding thin self-adhesive foam (or even a few pieces of tape or duct tape?) along the pieces. Tray that touches the steering wheel - a little more friction at these points would have made for a sturdier/"firmer" mount. but I'm a long way from trusting him with anything but a food-stoppered water bottle. So I'm thinking maybe $5 for accessories - some of which I already have on c dexterous handling and such - reliability could be up to five stars. EXAMPLES OF USING THIS PRODUCT AND OTHER ACCESSORIES IN MY CAR =- WORK CALL = I have a cell phone holder on the left side of the steering wheel so I can use the hands-free system and have access to call controls. On the tablet I mostly have a laptop which allows me to open the top fully (i.e. I can see the whole screen AND the webcam can be used to show my face if I want) and I can using both hands to type on trackpad, etc. (it's a little cramped, but not too different from working on a plane or on a cramped commuter train/bus). I often have a drinks tray on my center console (thanks Kaffeefleck!), which doubles the space for cup holders: I use the front two for drinks, and the back two I place my notepad and pen between the drinks and the pen. Notebook. I have access to my bag either on the passenger seat or behind the passenger seat in case I need to refer to documents/notes during a call. PROS: = I can share my video and it won't download because my laptop is on my lap while I'm typing; I can get my drink, grab a snack, access things in my bag, etc. without having to fiddle with my laptop; I can type and use the trackpad with ease; I can take notes either on the side of the laptop on the tablet or on the console/my bag/etc without balancing the laptop. INCLUDED PROBLEMS = Impossible to just get out of the car with this setup and if you drop the handle or whatever it will "disappear" until you put your tablet away and put it on the floor/wherever It is. I always have my hand on the food container and utensils and do one thing at a time to prepare the food. For example, salad delivery = drink in cup holder/center console; Bag for passenger seat/center console; park and install the tray; just take out and open the lettuce; put the lid of the container back into the bag; for salad dressing, use and discard dressing containers (I put them back in the bag); THEN take out the dishes and napkins and start eating. Learn from my "OH NO MY FORK" experience. during a thunderstorm. LOLTIP = Keep duplicate items like napkins, pens and silverware within reach in your door pocket, on the center console etc when wearing your seat belt - that's about the range of motion you have with a steering wheel mounted tray. Wheel.
