Review on πŸ”Œ ACDelco Gold Alternator 335-1068, Grey by Daniel Shivashankar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits my 1996 5.7L Chevy c1500 truck snugly

Fits my 1996 5.7L Chevy c1500 truck snugly. It is located at the top of the engine, so it is very easy to reach. using a 3/8 ratchet to turn the tensioner and remove the serpentine belt. 10mm and 13mm sockets or wrenches are required depending on the location of the 4 alternator mounting screws and the ground wire screw. And of course don't forget to remove the black wire from the battery before doing anything on the electrical component. The alternator was positioned exactly to line up with the bolt holes, so I used a rubber mallet to hammer it in place. It's about 30 minutes of work on my truck if you have good hands. If you have a GM car, always buy an AC Delco whenever possible. This is what the GM plant uses. They're just better made than aftermarket knockoffs. When I was younger I bought aftermarket parts to save a buck and for convenience because that was what was in stock at the local auto parts store that day. Every part I replaced that died prematurely was always one of the fakes. An AC Delco part has never failed. AC Delco Lines Featured = OEM Series Good = Professional Series Undesirable = Advantage Series
