REVIEW UPDATE BELOW: I have contacted Hunter and have disconnected the receiver and remote. So far, the problems described below have not occurred! Hunter sent me a new receiver free of charge in case this fix didn't solve the problem. The rep was really nice. I encourage people who have had fan issues to contact Hunter for a resolution. Attention buyers - this fan is scrap. I had it professionally installed. The engine cuts out intermittently and the light goes out by itself. My daughter is terrified of being in her room due to the obsessive fan/light. My electrician came out one more time to inspect the fan and he agreed the connection was faulty. He also said that while Hunter has been reliable in the past, he's seen a lot of broken models lately.
