I've had this camera for a few weeks now and I like it so far. I needed features like a retractable screen and unlimited recording time (limited only by space) and didn't want to spend thousands. This camera is perfect for me. It was immediately clear to me that I needed an external power supply, which I bought. I have a lavalier mic that makes a buzzing noise when using the power adapter. It doesn't bother me much because I usually record audio through my computer and if I use a lapel I'll probably be using battery power. The lens that comes with the kit fits me well. I'm not a photographer - I use it as a webcam for a YouTube channel. I'm using a HDMI only output to USB adapter and recording on my computer. One thing developers should note (and may have done) is that having a microphone and HDMI output right in front of the fold-out panel is a bit annoying. off the screen. Difficult to reach all the buttons on the screen. However, I use the folding screen less often because the WiFi connection is great. I can sit in my seat and use my phone to make some changes and focus. It's also great for taking "selfies" to use for YouTube thumbnails. In my opinion, you won't find a better camera in this price range. The kit I bought also included a small tabletop tripod, three batteries and two chargers. There were a few other things (like lens filters and flash) that I hadn't even opened up yet. I don't think it's the best camera, but for $700 I'm very happy with it.
