Great lounging, good spaces for play, not best for scratching. 4/5 very recommended.
It is cat approved!Assembly was great.Cardboard is 3 or 4 layers, depending—very sturdy.Scratching on the verticals sides is not as inviting as more single-purpose scratchers, but our cats still uses them multiple times a day. (Seems he prefers the upside-down "u” type scratcher.)Chico (cat, 7-month old) enjoys the penthouse. He’ll play in the bottom unit sometimes, and enjoys jumping through the second floor when both entries are open—but we usually keep one backed against a wall. He spends most of his time with the penthouse lounging on the top floor.

- The paper surface of the cardboard may have a slippery texture, creating the potential for accidents
