We have five cats. We used to buy those double or even triple decker scratchers from Target - you know, the cute ones that only last a week when you have FIVE cats. I got tired of fixing the roof or the siding of those flimsy houses and decided to invest in something better. I didn't want to spend a crazy amount, given the cats have a very large, ballin' ass tree already. They love it. This cat house is awesome! At first I was afraid the middle compartment would not get used at all or that my cats would fight over it but they love it! We find our cats sharing all the time. We also have two cats that are on the bigger side and they have no problems using this. Assembly took 5 mins and was super easy. Also it doesn’t take up a ton of space. If you are looking for a cardboard cat house, spend the little extra money and get this one. So worth it.

It took me less than 10 minutes to assemble. Very simple and easy to follow directions. I am suprised how sturdy it is considering it's cardboard. Its double ply cardboard, so-to-speak. Was it pricy considering it's a glorified cardboard cat scratching post? Probably. But I have spent more money on dumber stuff for my beloved cats. Just spoil your cat and get it. My cats are 15+ pound chonky bois and they fit fine.

My cats adore this. It was not hard to put together at all, either. It's very durable. I have two 12lb cats and a 10lb and they were all on it with no problems. One sleeps on every floor lol. I've had it for weeks now and they continue to use it. I love the design, too! And that it has scratchers because my cats can't get enough.

I gave 4 stars on assembly, strudiness & durability, only because I have only had it 2 days. Assembly was a little tricky, but if you go slow and read the directions, you'll be fine. It helps to have 2 people, but not necessary. Overall sofar, definitely a 5! Both of my cats absolutely love it. This was super easy to put together and very cute. Both cats have hug out in it, but they don't stay for very long, or really use the scratch pads at all, which is fine. It is a little wobbly, to be expected of cardboard. Overall - so so. I'm glad it wasn't expensive because they don't spend much time in or on it, but they have used it a little. Everybody's cat is different so what works for one might not work for another.

Okay, for real.I got this for my cat because the Haunted House Scratcher from Target was sold out. THIS ONE IS SO MUCH BETTER! This is durable, sturdy, and filled with hiding spots and scratching surfaces galore. I have 3 cats and one is a 17 lb big boy (orange cat). It’s very sturdy and although the middle section is a little small for them to fit, all 3 love it! The smaller Christmas scratcher in the pic I got from target, which they loved too and had multiples of, but didn’t last more than 6 months so replaced with this. Highly recommend even for hefty cats.

The Fortress was very easy to put together and the cats love it. I put a solid (fish hole) wall between the back 2 rooms so that kitties could sit on the lower level with no one right next them. That left the 2nd level with 3 open sides, but they really like being able to hide in the lower back "room" while still being able to look out. Wow! This is super heavy duty and I was more than delighted by the quality. I have previously purchased other cardboard cat houses/scratchers and while fun, they were not sturdy. My cat is just an average size cat, 10ish pound, but I would not be worried even if she were 20lbs or if I had multiple cats. It’s strong and stable. I read some reviews about it being hard to put together, it’s not. Took maybe 5 minutes, you literally slide the pieces into place. I highly recommend this cat house!

This product is exactly as advertised! Its great, so easy to put together and quite sturdy. My fat calico sits on top with her brother and no instability. Probably better on non rug floors like mine which is laminate. The multiple scratching surfaces is awesome and should keep good for a several months. Definitely recommend getting one or two of these!

I have two teenagers and I made them assemble it. They had some problems, but I don't know that it's because this is difficult to assemble. I think it's because my kids didn't read the directions. I am owned by 4 cats, and all 4 of them immediately liked it and took an interest in it. Unfortunately, one of my kitties decided this was the most valued item in the house, and she bullied the other cats away from it, so it's become her personal palace, and apparently no other cats are allowed to use

My cat loves all things cardboard. He's a 16lb floof and sleeps and scratches on this house basically all day every day. There are multiple scratching surfaces and places to lay on. We built it in about 15 minutes following the pictured instructions and for us, each part was solid and sturdy. He LOVES this and I feel like it will hold up well over time.

I love this cat house! The cardboard is thick and sturdy and really support that weight of my 15 pound cat! He loved it and climbed right on after I finished putting it together, which btw only took about 10 minutes. The only reason I knocked off a star is because it is quite plain; aside from what is on the picture, there is not much detail to it. I plan to paint it myself to make it more fun to look at. Otherwise, great product! I really recommend it to anyone!

Easy to assemble.took me 10 minutes by myself with no issues. Yes you have to manipulate some of the connections but it’s cardboard. They still go together just fine. The directions were simple to follow. Was carrying it to its spot and one of my cats jumped right in and I had to shoo him out to keep moving it. I never thought I would pay so much for cardboard. but my cats sure do love this! This is not like that flimsy cat houses you see at Target. This is thick cardboard, extremely sturdy and it holds my 3 larges cat perfectly - at one time. Although I will say that the cats do prefer the top bed the most. It's great quality and after several months of use, it looks as new as the day I unboxed it. It doesn't sag or warp at all. Highly recommend!

My cat absolutely loves this! She sleeps on the top shelf all the time! Even though it's made from cardboard, it's amazingly sturdy and easy to assemble. I also like that it is sustainable. 10/10 my rabbits love it. They’re avid cardboard chewers and it looks like this will last quite a while! I did remove the inside support pieces so they could easily run straight through. They’re lightweight enough rabbits (5lbs each) that they can both stand on the second floor without having to worry at all that their weight won’t be supported. It’s very sturdy. For those concerned about sturdiness or weight limits these cats are both long and about 16 pounds (black) and 14 pounds (white/grey). As long as you put the middle support bars in the right way it will not budge. It seems super strong and I hope it holds up well to their scratching too because they both started using it immediately! I’ll report back if it breaks down more quickly than I think it should.
