Parting tool only useful for very small diameters
Because the parting tool angle is not horizontal, the cutting point raises as the tool is extended from the holder. On my mini-lathe, only trivially small diameters are near the center height when the cutting blade barely extends from the holder. Cannot lower the tool holder low enough to be near center on diameters I use.Look at the photo of the parting tool holder to see the inclination. Other manufacturers have a horizontal holder I hope will fit this quick change tool post.
