My brief impressions of the wallet. I've never been a fan of protecting my iPhone with a case, but ever since the iPhone X, phones' bodies have been built of glass and the weight has increased. As a result, I felt less secure holding my iPhone and more worried that it would fall to the ground. A further irritation is the cardholder. Even though I no longer need to carry a wallet thanks to Apple Pay, I still needed a safe place to store my transportation card, workplace pass, and driver's license. This meant I needed to bring a cardholder as well, which I occasionally forgot to do. Both of my requirements were met by the Apple Leather Wallet. Having a case on your iPhone makes it seem more secure in your hand since your palm and fingers can grip onto something. The camera lenses on the phone won't be scratched if you set it down on a variety of surfaces. The wallet is attached to my phone through magnets so it stays in even when I put my trousers in my back pocket. I no longer leave my access card, pass, or privileges at home by accident. It's also wonderful that the case will likely be compatible with future iPhone models, and that I can buy wallets in new intriguing colors on a regular basis, just like I can with Apple Watch straps. My new Golden Orange wallet complements my white iPhone 12 perfectly. I bought an Apple Wallet four months ago, and it still looks completely normal, whereas the leather case I had for my iPhone 11 Pro quickly lost its presentation and looked worn. Perhaps Apple has switched to a different kind of leather.
