Sony BDPS1700 Streaming Certified Refurbished Review

After receiving the product I tried to plug it in and found that the cable that came with it didn't fit the inlet. I sent them three messages before I got another cable, also the wrong one. In the end I just bought the right one from Walmart, tried to plug it in, but found that the device itself wouldn't turn on, even though the cable I bought was specifically designed for this product (BDP-S1700). Still no reply to any of my messages. Terrible product and terrible customer service.

I purchased this product knowing it was a refurbished product and have had great luck in the past. Well, my luck has finally run out! You need a remote control to program and use this player and the remote control does not work. I even tried the universal remote but that didn't work either. From what I saw the picture quality would have been good, but I couldn't in good conscience stop it. I give Revain 5 stars for easy returns! Overall it works well for the price but I don't like how the remote works. It is very difficult to get into the menu that allows you to return to the list of available programs without logging out and logging in again. I also don't like the delay between pressing the "OFF" button and the moment the machine actually turns off.
