Blu-ray players have no remote control

The player works when the play, stop and pause buttons are pressed on the DVD player itself. Once you've done that, you can click stop and then play and it will jump to the real movie without a remote control. I wanted to send it back to the seller I used but I figured out how to use it without the remote control. I hope this information is useful for those who do not have a remote control.

My first player and it works

This is my first Blu-ray player I've ever bought and I think I've had success with it. The player was packaged very well and had a lot of protection. The player takes a little time to load and start the movie but I don't care, I care about the quality and this is a quality product. I recommend this to anyone looking for a great Blu-ray player at a great price.

Works well in Blu-ray players

No complaints about the device so far. I bought the Toshiba model because it connects to my Toshiba TV with a Regza link. Didn't need all the internet features like movie downloads etc. It has a live BD but I doubt I'll ever use that feature. The price was correct @ (.) on the internet at (.). However, Blue Ray seems to take longer to load and I assume this is common with all Blue Ray disc players. But it went well with my Toshiba TV. Easy setting. You still haven't found a way to bookmark…

while it works fine. suitable for Blu-ray players

This player has been connected for four days and so far so good. I'm not very "techy" so I was surprised that a friend who was helping me with this had to buy a cable before the device could be connected for high res output including Blu. -Beam. Why isn't everything needed to run a Blu-ray disc in the box with the Blu-ray player? I'm giving it four stars because of the extra cost. My friend said it was a breeze to plug it in and it worked straight away with no issues. It also looks cool…

good price for TV and video

I bought this Blu-ray player 9 months ago and I am satisfied with it. I bought it first because for some reason my old Sony DVD player didn't work with my new Toshiba LCD TV. I'm not sure if it would be better to use a Blu-ray player of the same brand as your TV, but due to my issue with the DVD player I decided to stick with the same brand. All in all, this player works very well and converts DVD images very well. Blu-rays look great too, but I haven't tried other Blu-ray players so I have…

Best bang for the buck!

I've had this player for a few weeks now and I really like it. I tested it with Planet Earth BD and it loaded fairly quickly and plays beautifully. SD DVDs also load quickly and upconvert very well. I don't care that there is no Wi-Fi or Netflix streaming. I just want to be able to play Blu-ray discs and this is perfect. The Ethernet port and SD card slot are more than adequate for me. Please note that this device does not play Xvid format. You have to convert it to DivX, which is a bit…

Pros

Cons
  • The list will be long.

I think you get what you pay for. I bought it on Revain.com on Black Friday 2009 for $80. After several uses over a few months, the HDMI output stopped working. Tried all possible resets, different cables and displays (all HDCP compliant). Vain. By the time I realized it was the player and not the display, the 90 day warranty had expired. Now I only use this with component (1080i) out and RCA cables for stereo sound. The picture quality is quite good but I would really like to use this unit…

Very good for the price

I bought this from Revain.com on Black Friday (I caught it in that small window of opportunity when the price was $79.97). While it doesn't look like a genuine Toshiba product (it's made by Funai, as well as Magnavox, Sylvania, Philips and some Onkyo and Denon Blu-ray players), it still comes from a trusted and trusted source. The boot times are quite short, however, the device makes some noise (a lot of buzzing and buzzing) when preparing. Blu-ray playback is great - crisp and clear, with no…
