Description of π¨ Accusize Corner Rounding Mill 1011 0008: Precision Tool for Perfect Rounded Edges
Intended for use in milling rounded corners. Form-relieved type; can be sharpened repeatedly without changing the form. Right hand cut. Formed radius cutter. Suitable for a wide range of ferrous and nonferrous materials. 7/16" to 1-1/4".
The set covers a wide range of sizes for irradiation. I've only used them on aluminum so far, but judging by the look and feel I'm pretty sure they'll work well on steel. Very happy with the purchase.
I haven't used them all yet but the ones I've used work very well. Nice cut on 6061 and 12L14, I haven't tried anything else. I am happy with this purchase.
I tried a 3/8 corner rounder on 1018 mild steel with a depth of cut of .050 and the head broke off within 1" of the cut. A 1/2 shank may fit smaller sizes but will not fit this size steel cutter.
I tried a 3/8 corner rounder on 1018 mild steel with a .050 depth of cut and the head broke within 1 inch of cutting. A 1/2 shank may be suitable for smaller sizes, but is not sufficient for this size of cutter in steel.
A set of well made round end mills seems to be as good as some of the (very expensive) ones I bought years ago. Cut clean. The bonus is that this set comes in a very nice hard case and not the plain block of wood the competition uses to avoid scratching those sharp edges.
Practical storage box. The processing quality is good. Universal sizes for accommodating corners with different radii. Processing aluminum 6061 and 2024 with a high copper content. Gives the product a pleasant appearance and smooth running. has no stamp of origin but is marked with the brand name Accusize and then HSS 3/8rx1/2 on the largest point.
