I had a thin harness for my little boy but it quickly broke after a few weeks of occasional use. We use this harness almost every day and I don't usually wear it during the day. It doesn't bother him and it doesn't restrict his movement like some other items. Sometimes I worry a little because the harness seems a bit big (my cat is very small, 8lbs). As long as he pulled it, he couldn't escape. Velcro and buckle seem to do the job well.
