Review on 3M Vetbond 084 1469SB Vetbond Tissue Adhesive 1469Sb by Peter Parks

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Will become unusable after about a year even if not opened, much quicker if that's the case.

Actually, I have no problem with the function of the product. It works well and I've used it to close cuts, mostly on people and mostly on myself. However, it dries to a hard blue stone fairly quickly once opened, even with the lid on tight. So that's $18 for a single cut repair. I believe that if there was a serious injury, such as a machete attack, the number would be appropriate and that is what is needed. but without caring about such attacks I would probably go to the emergency room for such injuries instead of trying to pick up my body at home as I would probably want to document the attack. That means I reluctantly switched from "Wetbond”. Just keep a few cheap tubes of all-purpose super glue handy, which you can pick up on Amazon for a dozen for $5 with shipping. I'm pretty sure they aren't pure enough to be used sensibly in this way, but for minor cuts I took the risk until there weren't any obvious problems. Bottom line: Unless I buy a new bottle of "Wetbond" about every 6 months and spend $18 to cut paper or dice lettuce once, the other substances are probably actually liquid when they're needed because they come in metal tubes and costs me about 40 cents a tube. If I die of it I hope my wife will update this review to three stars on my behalf.
