Update: I have been heating water almost every day for only 4 months and the pot is already dark black on the inside. I knew it was a little thin when I first got it, but as I use it every day it gets darker. This is very bad because it works very well, but only 4 months? I want to use it for at least a year. Unfortunately. The kettle looks smart and heats the water very quickly. It's easy to hold and the spout is perfect for coffee. That's enough to make coffee for two, plus some left over for my hot water to use later. It's great but not double insulated so don't wait an hour to pour after heating! Of course we only wait about 5 minutes until the water for the coffee has cooled down a bit. The only thing that makes me give it 4 stars is that the inner stainless steel base gets a bit pitted after a few uses. This does not mean that it will rust or cause an unpleasant taste, only marks will appear on it. Otherwise a great product for the price.
