Review on 🐶 Red Riding Hood Dog Costume by Rubie's by Rusty Lyons

Purchased size XL for my 35 lb whippet with 24 inch chest depth. The dress was tight and the velcro pulled it tight, but the cape hid it. According to the size chart, the XL size needed to push some space, it should fit up to 27 inch chest, so the sizing is wrong. While the costume is very cute, it has issues that weren't thought through during the design phase. The cape is very slim with no attachments to the actual costume, so just falls to the side (attached to the skirt with clips). If you look at the size chart from XL to XXL, the bust sizes just jump from 27" bust to 35" bust; Note that there are no adjustments for this suit, so I'm not sure why the size doesn't change gradually. As far as suit durability goes, if you have an active pup then it's not for you. After playing in the yard, the usual running around, the ligaments on the chest began to unravel and creep out of the seam. The costume was relatively cheap so I wasn't expecting much and won't be returning it, but it lost a star due to imperfections and size difference. Recommended for those who have inactive puppies or are just going to an event.
