This product claims a flow rate of 50 GPH (or 3.15 l/min) which is over 7 times the performance of a Tetra 10 Gallon Silent Pump is. . The Tetra pump is only designed for 0.5 l/min. I compared them and the Tetra pumps twice as much air as this pump. So if the Tetra has a flow rate of 0.5L/min and is only rated for tanks up to 10 gallons, there is no way this pump can reach 50 gallons per hour and it definitely will not work with a 35 gallon tank. If I deviate from Tetra's specs, this pump won't even work with a 10 gallon tank. Other reviewers say it's noisy. This depends on the surface it is on and how well the pipes are connected. It's a little louder than the quiet 10-gallon Tetra pump. Get Tetra.
