I was in the process of replacing my current recessed lights with LED's but my cans didn't have the torsion spring mounts. I tried installing the headlights anyway, but they kept sagging. I've tried the following: Bending the torsion springs Rubber bands for headlight suction Rubber bands for headlight suction Double-sided tape Mounting putty Velcro mounting tape Masking tape Top mass Put an irrigation tube on the end of the torsion springs to increase the coefficient of friction and it all failed. I tried clear silicone and that worked, but it was messy. Who knows what will happen if I ever have to take them off. In the end I broke down and bought these mounts. Clips make installation easier. I used a Ryobi 90Β° angle drill bit to drill pilot holes and the screws went right in. The lamps fit exactly into the ceiling and I am satisfied.
