Not a bad buy. As with most online purchases, slightly different than expected. If you are looking for a 15 x 15 pet bed this is not it. Even the box outputs 14x14. and I measured it more like 13x13 from the outside seam to seam. It is a fibre, however, so it bends to almost 14 at its widest points. Generally the scale is smaller than the description. While this isn't an issue for our very small 7 pound kitten, it could be an issue if we had a medium sized cat. (That's about a square foot of cushion space that a cat can comfortably use.) The walls feel a bit plush, but the base has a very thin tactile fabric. so we've added a little support for the shelf below to prevent an unfortunate slip on your bird perch. We added a 12 inch heating pad because it was supposed to keep Ebony warm while he watched the squirrels and the neighborhood dogs. The vacuum is packed to a thickness of less than an inch and has expanded to a thickness of approximately 1 3/4 inches. Also, I just want to say that "washed blue" ultimately reads like a muted turquoise or a light aqua in person. It doesn't matter to us, but if you're the type of person who cares about decor, just FYI. All in all, Ebony loves it. though she needed time to air before trying. She came up, sniffed and turned away on the first day. At first it smelled strongly of plastic. She decided to sneak in about 24 hours after we placed it in her favorite spot. :)
