I just wasn't very impressed with this puzzle. I love most toys from this brand but not this one. It might be because I hate (adult) puzzles. But I have lots of jigsaw puzzles of all shapes, sizes and materials for my kids. The parts are like hard cardboard. So they are not completely indestructible. This puzzle came in a beautifully designed box with a handle. I love that there are dinosaurs in the box that kids can find in the puzzle which adds to the playtime. Our 28 month old is quite good at solving jigsaw puzzles. She can easily solve puzzles on the board (about 9 pieces), which is why we recently "switched” to such puzzles. These are really good puzzles, very strong pieces. They are very big and easy to handle. The pieces are big enough for you to see what the picture is and for her to figure out which pieces might go with it. The parts also fit together very well, they don't need to be pressed together, but also not easy to separate during work.

This is a fantastic floor puzzle for a 4 year old. It's strong, colorful, complex, but not so complex that it would be too frustrating for an impatient toddler. I can't love Melissa and Doug's toys anymore! Every time I get one, I'm even more impressed.
