This is the smallest and lightest infrared thermometer I could find. It works amazingly easy! I use this for 2 main reasons: 1. I like to fry food so it's perfect for a quick frying oil reading. I use cannabis and this gives me a near perfect reading for my swab setup. Not only is it easy to use, but it also requires 2 AAA batteries instead of 9 volts, so it should be cheaper to maintain with rechargeable batteries. Money, I would definitely buy it again if needed, or even buy it for friends. I've found the scope to be from determining the exact temperature of the heat flow out of every vent in the house (to ensure even heating) to anything cooking related to checking the temperature of the airflow in your car enough. To be honest, if you've never had one, you're probably checking the temp of EVERYTHING! The only downside right now is accurate measurements in tiny areas less than an inch wide, but all you need to do is know exactly where the laser is pointing. . That's actually not bad, because this "sweet spot" can be found after using the weapon a few times.
