As many others have said the weld on the tool broke before the bearing came loose. If it comes loose you will see how badly it was welded. I was able to smash the bearing by placing it under the car and hitting the tool's remaining flange with a sledgehammer. I live in New England, so I'll admit mine probably rusted together worse than the others. Also, none of the hardened nuts that came with the tool fit my Subaru Forester and I had to buy my own. Don't try to use your own lug nuts, they will break.
