I bought this gown on a whim for a military gala after reading so many good reviews. It was perfect and I received so many compliments. Not sheer at all, the fabric was just thick enough but not too hot. I bought in black and maroon but the maroon showed more cellulite, lines, belly button, etc. the black was better about hiding all that. It also had more stretch than I would’ve thought, so I could’ve gone a size down (I was in an XL). I’d say size it depending on how you want it to fit. The stretch made it form fitting for me but loose in the right areas so I made a decision to size up. It also could’ve been hemmed, but I’m very short so I expected that, I just didn’t have the time. I am in love with this dress and look forward to wearing it again!
