I needed a stand that was compatible with the Zoom H2 digital recorder as it consistently delivers better sound quality than the USB mics I've tried. But I was concerned that the angle for attaching the mic clip would not work with the bottom mounted mic stand adapter, so the mic tip could deviate from the speaker. After reading about the Linz tester's success with the Zoom H1 (with the mounting screw on the side), I decided to give it a try anyway. Upon receipt, I found that the microphone holder is unscrewable and can be installed upside down on the stand. This made the stand PERFECT for the Zoom H2 recorder as you can see in the photo - it also works with newer Zoom digital recorders (which also have a bottom mounted stand). Additionally, I've found that the Zoom H2 can be used as a pass-through mic, effectively providing a high-quality USB mic interface that can be plugged in directly. So that saved me over $200 on a new mic since I already had Zoom. I'm really glad this stand is so compatible with the Zoom digital voice recorder as it has *better* sound quality and the stand keeps him at *just* the right height to speak!
