This device has a powerful motor and serves its purpose. I like that the blender wand and blades are made of stainless steel. The only problem I have is the gearbox that connects the racquet to the motor. The instructions say not to submerge in water, which I missed. It retained water, rusted inside and is now releasing rusty water into what I churning out. It's my fault for not reading the entire manual, but I wish they had made the whisk a single, cleanable unit, like the attachment for a hand blender. I use a whisk a lot, so I buy spare gear: $8 for the gear and another $8 for shipping. dear lesson! If you're wondering if it can be used to mix ice cream or large chunks of hard...frozen fruit like whole strawberries, the answer is no. They will break small blades. If you're wondering if it can be used to make nut butters or thick batter, the answer is no. You will burn the engine. Use the wand attachment to blend smoothies with fresh fruit or small soft frozen berries, and to puree soups, sauces and soft-boiled vegetables. Use the whisk attachment to whip cream and egg whites, froth milk and emulsify salad dressings and mayonnaise. Use the mini food processor to grind nuts, fresh or cooked vegetables. This is a good size for making a small batch of salsa or baby food. If not abused, it will serve you well and last a long time.
