Review on 🐾 Easy Step III Pet Gear in Cocoa by Tricia Rosinski

Whilst I have one complaint I still give this stair case 5 stars simply because we haven't found any other stair case of this height that actually had steps deep enough not to scare our dogs. Previously we bought 4 different types. They were either too wobbly or too short to reach our loft bed, or each step was too shallow for our dogs to climb comfortably. Vision can also be a problem with some dogs, especially older ones who need it and if they can't figure out what they are seeing they may be too shy to climb stairs. Like the ones you can see through between each step, they are intimidating for our adult dog. They are durable and easy to assemble and disassemble. However, we had to attach the carpet runners vertically across the entire surface because the Velcro carpet squares on each step were too small. Our two dogs' claws kept slipping over the plastic edges on both the front and sides of the steps, which particularly frightened our eldest when she slipped and fell while climbing the 3rd step. It was a bit of a chore finding thin but soft carpet stairs that could be cut without fraying, that bent nicely to form stair treads, and figuring out how to get them to bond really well to the HDPE plastic. I don't know what will hold it permanently yet, but so far they keep it after buying a roll of double sided tape for such plastic. We left the supplied mats in so there were no burglaries. We covered each tier separately, then each of the small vertical walls between each tier, and they still interlock perfectly, and the friction of comfort holds the rug pieces together like a pro. It looks very pretty and matches our blue duvet. Too bad they don't do a better job of creating a non-slip surface all the way around. Plastic and dog nails do not play well, even if the plastic surface is rough, causing the nails to slip off. But it was worth it when we added the carpet. They were almost not high enough. We would have preferred to have another 2-3 inches of height without sacrificing even a 1/10 inch of stair depth, but they still work. If they were shorter, it would be overkill. The most important characteristics were height and height. the depth of the stairs, and these were the only stairs to meet those specifications.
