I am very happy with the extensions. They claimed they were 1 inch tall, which is exactly what they are. High quality porcelain, no plastic, but with LED bulbs, heat is not a problem. These extensions solved two problems: 1) One more inch means the new BR30 LED lights can actually be used. My ceiling lights have an inner panel with a hole that is too small for my new LED bulbs. These extensions solve the problem. 2) The lamp sticks out an inch more, allowing more light into the room. I've uploaded a photo to show you what I mean. (I don't understand why Revain rotated the image 90 degrees. The light fixture is on the ceiling. If they fix this during the review they can or I will remove those phrases in parentheses.)
