Review on πŸ”Œ Frost King HC30A Black Electric Heat Kit Heating Cables - 30ft, Automatic & Optimized for SEO by Steven Saric

Revainrating 5 out of 5

That works great! fits rough plumbing

So I just got my 12ft Frost King and wanted to do this test. Background: I am driving my small 20ft car to Moose Camp for 10 days. The average low at 9500 feet will be about 15 degrees at night and I wanted to keep the water lines from freezing. Other than that, I didn't want to assume anything, so I set it up here at home for a test. Being in the country I didn't want to start my generator and ruin the moment with a noisy machine running all night so I grabbed my portable starter and set up this pup (see pics). A previous performance rating was correct at 7 watts per foot, and after 15 minutes under ice packs it turned on and began to heat up. A NOTICE. The cable is not instantaneous, it took 15 minutes on hold before ANY power kicked in. My excitement began to grow as my plan began to materialize. I decided to see what temperature this cable was radiating, so I grabbed a homemade meat thermometer and decided to check it out. After 30 minutes from the moment of connection I have a little less than 110 degrees! Now I understand why they are telling you not to wrap or cross this cable. it's getting hot! I give it 5 stars because it does exactly what it says it will. To Elk Camp with all the amenities of a camper!
