Last summer my husband restored an old McKenzie River driftwood boat and he really enjoyed using West System 407 low density putty on this project. Instead of building new oarlock blocks, he simply used them to repair old ones. He said that once cured it was a really hard surface that could still be sanded down. He wanted to point out to me that you should mix quite a bit of this material with the epoxy. Epoxy really absorbs!
