If you have a head over 24 inches this helmet is great! My head is about 24 and 1/2 inches. I tried several other hard hats but the big ones were too tight. It's heavy, but the plastic is much thicker than other brands. The pads are similar to the military but much more comfortable. Military insoles are too hard and wearing them for more than 30 minutes gives me a pressure headache and they don't. I only give 4 stars because of the straps. They work, but they look cheap. And I could never make her feel comfortable. I updated the straps and now everything is perfect. This is a great helmet for people with big heads.
